Robert Harrington
Rob began his Framestore career with the advertising team, working in roles such as Technical Director and CG Supervisor for a range of high-profile clients. His award-winning work included the ‘Shapeshifter’ campaign for Shell and the much-loved ‘Mog’s Christmas Calamity’ for Sainsbury’s, as well as title sequences for major feature films such as Spectre.
In recent years Rob has leant his skill, creativity and exemplary technical nous to large-scale TV and episodic projects, working on the dark dystopian sci-fi of Black Mirror and National Geographic’s global event series MARS, which saw him overseeing the production’s VFX on-set in Budapest and Morocco as well as managing key asset builds.
Most recently Rob served as VFX Supervisor for the epic HBO / BBC adaptation of Philip Pullman’s beloved His Dark Materials. The first season received a BAFTA for its stunning film-quality VFX and saw Rob nominated for a Visual Effects Society Award for his work on the brutal ‘bear fight’ sequence. He is currently working on the show’s second season, which is due to air later this year.
