Patrick Ledda
Patrick’s visual effects career is marked by a unique blend of artistic passion and scientific rigor, stemming from his early fascination with the convergence of creativity and technology. Prior to entering the VFX industry, Patrick pursued a PhD in Computer Graphics, a foundation that influences his approach to visual effects and understanding of the underlying technologies.
Patrick began his professional career as a generalist, notably collaborating with Terry Gilliam on a variety of innovative projects whilst at Peerless. These experiences provided him with a solid foundation in the diverse aspects of VFX. In 2010, he joined MPC as a Lead Lighter, quickly ascending to Head of Lookdev and Lighting. During this period, he played a pivotal role in high-profile productions, including Prometheus, 47 Ronin and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. His supervisory debut on Disney’s Cinderella paved the way for boundary-pushing work on Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge, Lady and the Tramp, Dumbo and The Little Mermaid.
