Our Commitment to Sustainability

Framestore is committed to protecting the environment in the way we operate.  It is our policy to seek continual improvement to lessen our impact on the local and global environment by conserving energy, water and other natural resources; reducing waste generation and reducing our use of toxic materials.  We are committed to environmental excellence and pollution prevention, meeting or exceeding all environmental regulatory requirements, and to purchasing products which have a greater recycled content with lower toxicity and packaging, reducing the use of natural resources.  We are working on reducing our carbon footprint across all our global offices in order to meet our target of Net Zero by 2050.  We aim to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 absolute emissions by 55% by 2030 from our 2023 baseline year.

We have detailed below our environmental initiatives and achievements for each of our global sites.

  • Our building is equipped with solar panels, and we will look to expand our solar farm, subject to necessary permissions.

  • We recycle over 62% of waste and we send zero waste to landfill.

New York

  • Our NY studio is in a WELL building, certified by the International Well Building Institute.

  • 100% of the electricity used in the building is offset with GreenE certified Renewable Energy Certificates.

  • 100% of the waste collected is either recycled or sent to a Waste to Energy plant, 0% to landfill.

Chicago

  • 100% of the electricity used in the building is offset with GreenE certified Renewable Energy Certificates.

LA & Melbourne

  • We are working with the Landlords in these buildings to change to Green Electricity tariffs and improve levels of recycling.

We will continue to work on reducing our environmental impact globally, reviewing and updating our targets on an annual basis.
