VFX Oscar Shortlist 2018

We are proud to announce that four films featuring work by the Framestore team have been shortlisted for the Best Visual Effects Oscar at the 91st Academy Awards.

Avengers: Infinity War, Christopher Robin, Mary Poppins Returns and Welcome to Marwen will all go through to January’s nail-biting ‘bake off’, and, of the ten shortlisted films, five will ultimately advance to the Oscar nominations voting stage. The Framestore Art Department also worked for over a year on concepts for Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One, which has also made the list. Congratulations to our talented artists who contributed to these outstanding films.

Nominations for the 91st Academy Awards will be announced on January 22, 2019. The 91st Oscars will be held on February 24, 2019, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood.
