See You Later Alligator

Befores and Afters spoke to Bad Boys: Ride or Die VFX Supervisor, Dom Hellier about Melbourne and Mumbai’s working mixing the CG alligator with the on-set animatronic. Dom spoke about the whole scene at the abandoned Gatorland park which included set extensions, a CG plane and of course Duke the albino 14ft alligator.

Alongside the CG plane and alligator, the Mumbai and Melbourne teams masterfully crafted 133 stunning shots for the film. From eye-popping creature animation to intricate and explosive visual effects sequences, their work seamlessly enhances the film’s fast-paced narrative.
