Blossoming with 3D Animation

VFX Supervisor Chris Lawrence and Animation Supervisor Arslan Elver discussed their collaboration with Director John Krasinski and the process of creating grounded and tangible characters in IF in this interview with The Art of VFX, showcasing the challenges of translating a traditional 2D drawing such as Blossom into 3D animation.

From initial storyboarding and character design to previz, on-set supervision, postviz, and the final delivery of shots, Framestore's involvement was extensive and integral. This all-encompassing participation leveraged the strengths of Framestore's Pre-Production Services (FPS), VizDev, Design and VFX teams across London, Montreal, and Mumbai.
