Michael Ralla
Michael Ralla is a VFX Supervisor at Framestore, Los Angeles with a prolific 20-year career. He has contributed to over 50 feature films, many of which are successful and Oscar-winning blockbusters. An engineering graduate from the Audiovisual Media Program in Stuttgart/Germany, he has amassed global experience from leading studios like Animal Logic, MPC, Digital Domain, and ILM SF.
His accolades include a VES award, D&AD pencils and multiple Clios. Ralla is a regular collaborator with acclaimed director Marc Forster and has worked directly with renowned directors such as Spike Jonze, Ryan Coogler, Joel Coen, Mel Gibson, and emerging talents like Oscar Hudson and Alex Prager.
Ralla is equally comfortable in feature films and commercials, often speaking at industry conferences and trade shows. His notable VFX supervisory roles include “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” at Marvel, “John Wick 4” at Lionsgate, an unreleased Mel Gibson feature using Virtual Production, and Apple's “Welcome Home” and “Bounce” commercials.
His short film “Break Bug,” created as participant of the Unreal Engine Virtual Production Fellowship, achieved global festival success in 2022.
