Starting Pixel Live!

This community event is focused on the practical uses of the new technology convergence of filmmaking, VFX, gaming, digital humans, location capture and AI.

While technology development in itself isn't new in filmmaking; cameras get smaller and higher resolution, lights are more flexible, rendering VFX and media transfers talk about terabytes if not petabytes, and the list goes on, but the new developments of virtual production and AI are set to be as disruptive as digital was to celluloid and iPhones to bakelite phones.

The Future of Entertainment

Speaker: Dan Chapman, Senior Product Manager

The convergence of films, games and live events is transforming the entertainment landscape, creating unprecedented opportunities for filmmakers, event producers, and creative professionals to innovate and collaborate.

In this talk, Dan will examine the key drivers bringing these industries closer together, and explore how aligning workflows will fuel further collaboration in the future. Through a series of case studies, including The Last of Us and FLITE, Dan will dive into the latest virtual production techniques in filmmaking, demonstrating how these innovations are setting the stage for a more integrated and collaborative future.
