David Lochhead, Head of Design

After studying Animation in his native Australia, David moved to London to work at Framestore in 2008 where he worked his way up to becoming Head of Design in 2024. In that time, David applied his broad skill set to a host of stunning work for high-profile clients across commercials, film, and immersive entertainment.

His body of work includes the recent sequences for Marvel Studios' "Ms. Marvel", which blend 2D and 3D animation seamlessly to create bespoke, iconic and truly memorable scenes for the Marvel series and received the award for Outstanding Motion Design at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. David also led the team on an award-winning title sequence for the Ciclope festival; a visually-impressive film that again mixed 2D and 3D elements to craft a striking multimedia, hybrid project.

Libby Watson, Senior Design Recruiter

Libby has been working in the animation world for many years, starting in Stop Motion working on projects such as the first Chicken Run movie and on Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, before moving into CG and VFX at Framestore. She has a wealth of experience in various roles, always with a strong focus on supporting and nurturing talent and artists.

Now Recruiting across the VFX pipeline and particularly focusing on Design, Libby is excited to meet talented motion designers and 2D animators and match creative talent to the incredible projects coming out of the Design Studio at Framestore.
