Stranger Things Season 2

This project was completed by Atomic Fiction for Method Studios in 2017. Method’s film and episodic teams in Montreal, Vancouver and Melbourne are now a fully-integrated part of Framestore. 

The team played a key role in the second season of the Netflix series, taking clever creative approaches to outrun the breakneck pace of the TV production schedule. The team’s creations ranged from a beautiful bioluminescent butterfly to the season finale, where artists created a full CG environment including all volumetric and atmospherics, and even augmented actor Millie Bobby Brown’s features for the sequence inside the rift cavern; the link to the Upside Down. The team’s work earned VFX Supervisor Seth Hill a VFX Emmy nomination.
