Trieste Award Win

This weekend, the Trieste Science + Fiction Festival awarded Tim Webber the Golden Asteroid in recognition of his contribution to the science fiction genre. The Academy Award-winning visual effects supervisor has overseen VFX on the Oscar-winning Gravity as well as The Dark Knight, Children of Men, Where the Wild Things Are and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Tim picked up his Golden Asteroid while at the festival to present his short film FLITE as part of the European Fantastic Shorts programme. Set in a semi-submerged London of 2053, FLITE is his directorial and writing debut. The experimental and futuristic film follows the precarious, attempted escape of Stevie - the reigning World hoverboard champion - from her controlling manager.
