New AMPAS Members 2023
Five of Framestore's top creatives have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). Representing studios in Montreal, Vancouver and London, the VFX and Animation Supervisors honoured by the Academy are:
VFX Supervisor Pete Dionne
Currently working on Scott Derrickson's The Gorge for Skydance, Pete's incredible visual effects career spans more than 20 years. His diverse portfolio of work includes Thor: Love and Thunder (leading on the striking, monochromatic 'Moon of Shame' sequence), Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, A Wrinkle in Time and Goosebumps.
Animation Supervisor Arslan Elver
A snapshot of Arslan's ‘greatest hits’ showcases the wide span of his skillset, from creating fan-favourite ‘Baby Groot’ for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to imbuing Christopher Robin’s zen-like Winnie The Pooh with an incredible range and depth of emotion. He is currently working on John Krasinski's IF.
VFX Supervisor Arek Komorowski
As comfortable working on superhero spectaculars as period epics, Arek is currently working on a major episodic production for Apple TV+. His past credits include Spider-Man: Homecoming and Captain America: Civil War.
VFX Supervisor Bryan Litson
A recent Oscar nominee for his incredible work on the box office-destroying Top Gun: Maverick, Bryan's back catalogue includes titles such as Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil and Pokémon: Detective Pikachu.
VFX Supervisor Robert Winter
Bob is currently working on Zack Snyder's sci-fi epic Rebel Moon - his second journey into the Snyderverse following Army Of The Dead. Other titles featuring his deft touch include Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
