The Art of VFX in Fallout
Fallout’s Production VFX Supervisor, Jay Worth spoke to The Art of VFX about working with director Jonathan Nolan, taking inspiration from the Fallout games, and the collaboration between our teams in Montréal and Mumbai and the puppetry on set when creating creatures like the Gulper and Yoa Guai.
Framestore provided a comprehensive range of services, including concept art, on-set supervision, and pre-production to postviz and final VFX. Led by VFX Supervisors João Sita and Laureline Silan, our teams in Montreal and Mumbai delivered 125 shots capturing the series’ darkly satirical tone and its iconic irradiated creatures, the Yao Guai and Gulper. Framestore’s London-based Art Department and Framestore Pre-Production Services team (FPS) crafted the concept art and postviz.
