Award Nominations 2025

Whether you’re in the world for note-perfect witchiness, family-friendly character animation or something more… nerve-jangling, we had you covered in 2024, and we couldn’t be prouder to see our artists, producers and technologists recognised for their work. A huge “thank you!” to everyone who’s poured their talent and expertise into these projects.

AMPAS Longlist

Four very different Framestore projects - Wicked, Deadpool & Wolverine, Gladiator II and Civil War - have been shortlisted for the 2025 Best Visual Effects Oscar.

Showcasing everything from world-dominating fantasy, epic character animation, blockbuster superhero action and gritty, documentary-style realism, these projects highlight the breadth and depth of Framestore’s creative and technological expertise.

BAFTA Longlist

Oscar, Emmy and BAFTA-winning creative studio Framestore has been longlisted for this year’s Best Special Visual Effects BAFTA for its work on Deadpool & Wolverine, Wicked, Gladiator II, and Civil War

We’re also incredibly proud of our team’s contributions to Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice which have also been nominated in the same category.

Fingers crossed for January 15th when the nominations are announced. 

Annie Awards

Our work on Gladiator II has earned a nomination at the Annie Awards for Best Character Animation - Live Action ASIFA Hollywood is dedicated to championing the art of animation and its creators and we couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved. Our nominees are Kyle Dunlevy, Philipp Winterstein, Gil Daniel, Michael Elder, and Julien Bagory. Winners will be announced on February 8, 2025.

Critics Choice Awards

VFX Supervisor Jonathan Fawkner and the entire team on their nomination for Best Visual Effects at the Critics Choice Awards, recognizing their work in bringing Jon M. Chu’s grand and green Wicked to life.

We’re also incredibly proud of our team’s contributions to Gladiator II, which has also been nominated in the same category.
