What did you want to be when you were younger?
I had this image when I was in high school until University that I would be working in a Startup and wearing a Suit & Tie every day to work. It only took me 1 year working in Corporate and 3 seasons of Silicon Valley to realize that this path wasn't for me. It feels so good to be in a creative environment.
Years working in recruitment?
I've now been 5 years in recruitment.
Year you joined Framestore?
I started working at Framestore in 2018 at the tail end of all the glorious awards the Montreal team received for our work on Blade Runner 2049.
How do you like your coffee?
I'm usually a fan of cafe latte, but if you catch me at a Tim Horton I will likely have a double-double in my hand.
What superhero power would you love to have?
The ability to fly for sure or jump really high for sure. It would give me an extra sense of freedom.
What's your favourite Framestore project?
It's hard to choose, but Spider-Man No Way Home is really up there for the quality of the CG and the craziness that was this sequence. An underrated project I would say I really enjoyed was Don't Look Up. It's just so cool to think that we had the chance to work on a film by Adam McKay!
Number one tip for an application to impress you?
A detailed and to-the-point CV is always good, but personally, I'm a big fan of cover letters. The cover letter is the perfect tool to describe who you are, what are your aspirations, and what your passions are. I've seen a CV where a skill for the role was missing, but the cover letter convinced me that the candidate had the right level of passion to work with us!
