Chris Beers
Chris Beers is a VFX Supervisor and Head of 2D for Framestore’s Chicago and LA studios. With a wealth of knowledge and keen eye of detail, Chris leads the compositing teams, driving the creative output for a diverse advertising projects catering to renowned brand clients such as Allstate, Cadillac, Capital One, Hummer, McDonald’s, Nintendo, Samsung, State Farm, and Verizon.
Chris' notable advertising works include 'Poseidon' for Kohler, the iconic 'We're Different Because You’re Different' campaign for Cox Mobile during Super Bowl LVII, and the thrilling 2023 All-star game spot featuring NBA legend LeBron James and a daring CG crab for GMC Hummer. He also played a pivotal role in overseeing the compositing for General Motors' groundbreaking spot, unveiling the first EV Hummer Supertruck at CES, as well as contributing to Hummer's captivating brand film 'The Quiet Revolution' directed by Dante Ariola, which showcased stunning space, nebula, and earth shots at incredible speeds.
Before joining Framestore, Chris made remarkable contributions to the entertainment industry. He served as a nuke compositor for the critically acclaimed Netflix sci-fi show Sense8 across both seasons and held the position of compositing lead for the series finale. Additionally, he left his mark on Marvel films like Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, and Doctor Strange, contributing his skills as a nuke compositor for their title sequences. Chris also played a pivotal role as an After Effects artist in the expansive projection mapping project for Brazilian musician Amon Tobin's ISAM world tour.
After earning a BFA in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics from The Illinois Institute of Art, Chris spent time at companies like The Mill in Chicago, Vitamin Pictures, Sarofsky, and Leviathan in Chicago. He is currently a member of the Visual Effects Society.
