Meet the Speakers
Lucy Killick | COO, Film & Episodic
Lucy brings a wealth of experience to her role as Chief Operating Officer of Framestore's Film & Episodic division. Drawing upon a career that spans both production-side and facility roles, her deep understanding of film production and visual effects stems from years of hands-on experience working with Directors and studio clients, crucial insights that guide her leadership of Framestore’s studios in London, Montreal, Mumbai and Melbourne.
Pablo Grillo | Animation Supervisor
Pablo Grillo is more than a world-class animator. Over the past 20+ years he’s also served as a conduit, sounding board and trusted right hand for directors who want their animated characters to leap from the screen and lodge in the hearts and memories of film fans around the world.
Beyond his skill, creativity and deftness of touch as an artist, Pablo possesses another rare gift: the ability to tune into a director’s specific vision in order to craft unique narratives. This is perhaps exemplified by his long-time collaboration with Paul King, and the instrumental role he has played in bringing Paddington - a bona fide British icon - to life.
Kayn Garcia | Animation Supervisor
Having grown up watching his father animate for Hanna-Barbera, it was almost inevitable that Kayn would forge a career in animation himself. He now boasts over 20 years working across a huge range of popular 2D and 3D projects and is currently working on a dream project: the live-action adaptation of How To Train Your Dragon.
Chris Lawrence | VFX Supervisor
Chris Lawrence’s 20-year VFX career has seen him earn four Academy Award nominations, most recently in 2023 for John Krasinski's IF.
Chris has leant his love for film-making to franchises from Harry Potter to The Kingsman, and received both an Oscar and a BAFTA for his work on Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity (on which he worked for three years as CG Supervisor, from previs through to production), as well as Oscar nominations for his work as VFX Supervisor on Ridley Scott’s The Martian and Disney’s Christopher Robin.
