Pete Dionne
Entering the industry in 2000 as a CG generalist, Pete worked his way up to CG Supervisor at Technicolor Creative Services before moving to MPC in 2009. After completing several films in the roles of CG and DFX supervision, including The A-Team, Dark Shadows, The Lone Ranger, Elysium, The Seventh Son, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Pete was promoted to Visual Effects Supervisor in 2014.
Pete joined Method Studios in 2021 as a Visual Effects Supervisor, following a decade of supervising at MPC. With an expertise in digital creatures and environments, for Pokémon: Detective Pikachu he supervised the development and execution of Pikachu and dozens of other CG Pokémon characters, as well as the massive CG city and forest sets. Other examples are found in the fantasy environments of A Wrinkle in Time, the outer space environments and CG spacecraft in Passengers, and the creature and environment work in Goosebumps.
Born in British Columbia, Canada, Pete attended the Center for Digital Imaging and Sound in Vancouver. His passion for filmmaking and his artistic and technical appreciation of visual effects led him to their Digital Animation Masters Program, in which he completed his diploma in 2000.
Most recently he supervised Vancouver and Montreal’s contributions to Thor: Love and Thunder.
